Holtzman Vogel Expands Nashville Office with Addition of Palmer Williams as Partner

Holtzman Vogel, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in political law, regulatory matters, and high-profile litigation, is pleased to announce the addition of Palmer Williams as Partner in its recently opened Nashville, Tennessee office.

Williams brings an extensive background in litigation, ethics, and nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, having previously served as General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor for the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission. She has advocated for human rights on the international stage, including at the United Nations, while also playing a key role in landmark Supreme Court cases through her strategic insights and amicus briefs.

“Palmer’s combination of government, policy, and appellate law experience, as well as her strong desire to give back to the community, make her a perfect fit for our growing team in our new Nashville office,” said Jill Holtzman Vogel, firm founder and managing partner. “Her addition underscores the exceptional value our firm brings to clients in the government, nonprofit and regulatory spheres.”

Prior to joining the firm. Williams served as an Associate Professor at Lipscomb University’s College of Leadership and Public Service, where she taught law, governance and international affairs. Williams’ commitment to her community is evident through her work as a Pro Bono Coordinator for the Tennessee Supreme Court and positions on several local organizations’ boards.

Williams will work out of Holtzman Vogel and Vogel Group’s joint Nashville office, alongside Brandon Smith, former Tennessee Attorney General Chief of Staff, who joined the firm as Partner in April of this year. The firm will be moving to a new office space in Nashville in the next year.

Holtzman Vogel’s expansion into Tennessee and addition of talented partners like Williams and Smith reflect the firm’s ongoing growth strategy. This year, the firm has also expanded into Salt Lake City, Utah, moved into a new and larger office in Phoenix, Arizona, and leased additional space in its Washington, D.C. office location.

A Tennessee staple in the community, Williams holds a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science and Community Development from Vanderbilt University.
