Holtzman Vogel Hires Former Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York Saritha Komatireddy, Strengthening Firm’s Complex Federal Investigations and Appellate Practice

Holtzman Vogel, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in political law, regulatory matters, and high-stakes litigation, is pleased to announce the addition of Saritha Komatireddy as Partner, bringing exceptional prosecutorial and litigation experience to the firm’s New York office.

Komatireddy’s practice focuses on complex federal investigations, commercial litigation, and appeals. She joins Holtzman Vogel with an impressive background as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, where she served from 2013 to 2025. She held multiple leadership positions during her tenure at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, including Chief of International Narcotics and Money Laundering, Deputy Chief of Appeals, Deputy Chief of General Crimes, and Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Coordinator. Additionally, President Trump nominated her to serve as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the E.D.N.Y. in May 2020.

She brings valuable experience prosecuting threats to national security, including terrorism, cybercrime, export controls, economic sanctions, complex fraud, money laundering, foreign public corruption, violent gangs, and narcotics. Alongside her federal trials in high stakes cases, she also served as Chief of Staff for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Komatireddy also previously served as Counsel to the National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill and offshore drilling.

Komatireddy has received numerous honors for her work, including three Attorney General’s Awards, two Federal Drug Agents Foundation True American Hero Awards, and two Federal Law Enforcement Foundation Prosecutor of the Year Awards.

An active participant in both local and international affairs, Komatireddy has lectured at Columbia Law School for over a decade.

A former law clerk to Judge Brett Kavanaugh at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, Komatireddy holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B. from Harvard College.
