Holtzman Vogel Files Amicus Brief in Support of Florida Governor's Fight Against Terrorism in CAIR

Holtzman Vogel filed an amicus brief in the Eleventh Circuit on behalf of the National Jewish Advocacy Center, the Middle East Forum, and the Network Contagion Research Institute in support of the Governor of Florida in Governor of Florida v. CAIR Foundation.

The brief urges the court to reverse a district court's preliminary injunction and uphold Florida Governor DeSantis's Executive Order barring state agencies from contracting with or directing funds to CAIR. Drawing on extensive evidence of CAIR's origins and its ties to Hamas and other designated foreign terrorist organizations, the brief argues that the Governor acted within his lawful authority. Organizations with documented records of supporting terrorism do not have a First Amendment right to access state funds or contracts.

The Holtzman Vogel team on the brief included Mark Pinkert and Jason Torchinsky.
