Holtzman Vogel Expands Miami Office with Former Southern District of Florida Assistant U.S. Attorney Lindsey Lazopoulos Friedman
Holtzman Vogel, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in political law, regulatory matters, and high-stakes litigation, is pleased to announce the addition of Lindsey Lazopoulos Friedman as Partner in its new Miami office.
Friedman’s practice focuses on government and corporate investigations, white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. She joins Holtzman Vogel with a distinguished background as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, where she served from 2018 to 2025. During her tenure, she tried and resolved hundreds of criminal matters and supervised a team of 30 attorneys in the Major Crimes Section.
Her trial experience spans high-stakes prosecutions involving healthcare fraud, money laundering, drug importation, arms and ivory smuggling, and related offenses. She also worked across the National Security, Economic Crimes, and Appellate Divisions, handling cases involving counterintelligence, terrorism, and cybercrime.

In 2021, Friedman received the Council of Inspectors General’s Investigation Award of Excellence for her leadership in recovering millions of dollars’ worth of ventilators stolen from the US government. Prior to her federal service, Friedman practiced complex civil litigation and white-collar criminal defense.
An active member of Florida’s legal community, Friedman serves on The Florida Bar Federal Court Practice Committee and the Southern District of Florida Magistrate Merit Selection Committee.
Friedman holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and a B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University.
