Holtzman Vogel Bolsters Congressional Investigations Practice with Addition of Former House Judiciary Counsel Julian Yowell

Holtzman Vogel, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in political law, regulatory matters, and high-stakes litigation, announced today that Julian Yowell has joined the firm as an associate attorney in its Washington, D.C. office.

Yowell brings extensive experience at the intersection of law, policy, and business, most recently serving as Counsel to the U.S. House Judiciary Committee under Chairman Jim Jordan, where he led high-profile investigations and oversight efforts into federal agencies and major private-sector actors. In that role, he advised Chairman Jordan and the Republican Majority on some of the most consequential legal and policy matters before Congress, providing clients with rare insight into how Washington’s power centers operate.

“Julian’s addition reinforces our deep bench of attorneys with frontline congressional and investigative experience,” said Jill Holtzman Vogel, firm founder and Managing Partner. “His ability to guide clients through politically sensitive matters is exactly the kind of counsel Holtzman Vogel is known for.”

Prior to his congressional service, Yowell worked in the Office of General Counsel at a boutique private equity firm, advising on compliance, transactions, and investment strategy. He also has experience in energy project development, adding valuable perspective on how regulatory and policy decisions impact investment and operations.

Yowell holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and a B.A. in Political Science from Southern Methodist University. He is also an Adjunct Professor at GW Law and was a Foreign Policy Fellow at the Wilson Center.
